Covers with the 5-cent blue Trans-Miss stamp are few and far between.  Stamp has straight edge on right, double circle cancel. Mailed to King at Arms, London, England.  In blue marking crayon, someone has added Queen Vic Sv at bottom. Queen Victoria was the reigning monarch at the time and perhaps this was sent to her. Additional markings on back. Stamp has crease plus nibbled perfs at top right.

Full flap embossed eagle on this cover with red and blue piping along edges.  Unusual patriotic cover. Front of cover has tears upper and lower right side. Stamp is not damaged, but tear goes into postmark and the word MASS at the bottom.  Eagle is intact.  Super patriotic cover.

1887 cover from A. F. Sherman, Register of Deeds to Cordelia Macdonald, Bourne. No content. Notch below stamp and a bit wrinkled at each end, otherwise a clean cover. Cordelia Howard Macdonald was an actress of note, having portrayed Eva in Uncle Tom's Cabin first in Boston and then in venues throughout New York and New England and finally nationwide. She came from a theatrical family. She died in 1941 in Bourne.
