The two letters were written by different people and given to a seaman on the ship Palmyra to mail when it arrived in Boston.  The first letter was started when the writer was in Cowden England and discusses farming and an apple crop along with grapes.  They had water problems and had sent someone to Parliment to ask for help.  Four page of interesting reading. Signed by William and Charles Chesson. The second letter is from John Brown while on the Palmyra and he is concerned he won't be paid because he is not wanted in the ship.
